Single stage polishing process
In addition to level 1.
Level 2: Paint improvement
Exterior
Deep cleaning (paint); decontamination/polishing/protection
PAINT CORRECTION FACTOR up to 80%
- For this purpose we carry out additional washing of the following elements: edges, seams, front grille, headlights, lettering and locks. We use special tools such as brushes, foam cleaning swabs and small sponges for this work.
- Engine cleaning (wet or dry)
The paintwork undergoes a one-stage correction procedure in order to remove small defects, e.g. small swirl marks and minor paint damage, and to increase the gloss level.
Chrome and stainless steel surfaces are treated and protected.
Interior
In the interior, we carry out a two-stage spraying process. One agent eliminates unpleasant odours in the vehicle, instead of just masking them.
The second agent that we use is a specially developed product, which removes up to 99% of bacteria.
The vaporisation process means that the interior treatment is effective for even the hardest to reach areas.
We recommend the level 2 paint improvement for:
Level 2 is the first choice for an introduction to paint improvement. The process results in a correction factor of 70-80%, depending on the condition of the paint.

PAINT CORRECTION FACTOR 80% to 95%
First the paint thickness is measured using an ultrasonic paint thickness gauge.
Various lights are used to assess the paint condition.
The correction procedure consists of two to three polishing processes, meaning that damage such as swirl marks and holograms, as well as scratches of varying depths, can be corrected.
After each completed process, the surface is degreased with an alcohol-based paint cleaner in order to check the correction.
Interior
If necessary, carpets are shampooed, deep-cleaned and treated with a wet vacuum cleaner.
If the vehicle has Alcantara, we use a special cleaner in order to revive the fibres and eliminate ingrained bacteria. All leather surfaces are cleaned, maintained and protected using leather sealing. Ventilation grilles, the dashboard and flush-mounted buttons are carefully treated with appropriate, high-quality cleaning agents.
We recommend the level 3 paint correction for:
This level is designed for getting the best out of a used car in order to give it a new sparkle.
The third level is ideal for used cars that need a thorough detailed paint correction. During this treatment, moderate defects such as swirl marks and scratches in the clear coat and top coat lacquer can be removed with a correction factor of 80% to 95%. Deeper scratches in the clear coat will not be completely removed by the polishing, but they will become less visible.
After completion of detailing level 3, your car will be ready for sealing or an PPF package of your choice..

The door frames are cleaned. The wheels are removed and given a thorough all-over clean, polished and given a ceramic coating. If necessary: Rim repair and painting service
The engine compartment and underbody are fully conditioned.
The paint undergoes correction in a three- to five-stage process in order to remove heavy swirl marks, holograms and scratches.
Deeper scratches that cannot be removed by polishing will be smoothed out by hand using sandpaper. This is a very intensive and time-consuming grinding process. Things to be aware of: Even using this method, some deep scratches may not be able to be completely polished away without grinding through the paint and damaging the clear coat.
If necessary, components of the bodywork will be repainted or individual areas will be blended, i.e. colour matching will be carried out in the damaged area without repainting the entire component.
Interior
The seat belts are steam cleaned. All leather surfaces are cleaned, degreased, maintained, treated with essential oils and then protected with leather conditioner.
Leather, Alcantara and other interior materials are analysed and repaired or replaced if necessary.
We recommend the level 4 refinement for:
If the paint on your vehicle is scratched or neglected, the level 4 refinement is the right option for you. This treatment is also suitable for vintage cars that need a complete refresh inside and out. Even new cars or younger used cars will benefit from this refinement, which results in the paint looking better than it does on new cars.

Level 5: Perfection
Exterior
Individual analysis/cleaning/paint decontamination/sanding paint defects/multi-stage polishing/protection
PAINT CORRECTION FACTOR – 100%
The focus of this service is on removing the uneven, distorted paint distribution, known as dimpling, that can appear with modern spraying processes.
Our detailing treatment focusses on improving the finish, meaning that a much higher standard than before is achieved.
The process includes levelling the clear coat layer with a number of special tools, and removing the colour changes that occur with modern paint systems.
Level 5 includes a process in which the clear coat is evened out, refined and polished in five steps. This allows distribution problems (dimpling), salt and pepper effects and other paint defects to be professionally removed. Both dry and wet grinding, as well as various paint corrections, are used to achieve a glass-like finish. This level is perfect for a car that you want to keep for many years.
In this procedure, 15 to 20 micrometres of the original clear coat of your car is removed. Car paint has an average thickness of up to 260 micrometres, meaning that this process removes less than 10% of the layer thickness. We recommend that sealing and/or a paint protection film should be applied after this process.
We recommend level 5 detailing for:
There is no better treatment for paint; that’s the best way to describe level 5 detailing.
Car lovers who want to take part in the den Pebble Beach Concours d‘Elegance Villa d’Este with their vehicle, for example, will have the optimum preparation with level 5.
Level 5 is also recommended for very expensive cars with a value of a million or more.

FAQ Detailing
Detailing is about the perfect detailed cleaning of every inch of your vehicle, with the appropriate means, machines as well as the necessary expertise. Subsequent treatment by our specialists results in a "better than new" condition for all treated surfaces.
The term "detailing" can be misinterpreted and confused with simply cleaning the vehicle, which can be done at home or at a car wash.
Because although in theory detailing is a very simple and straightforward task, paint damage and surface imperfections are often caused by incorrect washing techniques and detergents.
No, but even premium and small series manufacturers are limited in terms of the time that they spend on the finish and final inspection of a vehicle. At INCUTE, we can take the manufacturer’s paint to the next level and beyond. The improvement that is possible even for a brand new car is phenomenal.
Our standard detailing levels range from 1 to 5. The difference mainly relates to the extent to which the paint is corrected; for example, level 1 is an entry level detailing and focuses on protection, while our level 5 signature detailing is our most complex procedure to remove the clear coat. During this process the “dimpling” is coated, involving a 100% clear coat correction factor.
Depending on the level of detailing required, the time scale is usually one to five days, but some special projects and more complicated cars may take longer.
Once detailed, a lot depends on the maintenance of the vehicle; if correctly maintained and depending on the use of the car, the results may last for twelve months or more. Most customers have their cars detailed once per year and many have regular maintenance treatments carried out by us in between in order to ensure the longevity of the finish.
The term “dimpling” refers to colour distortions; this is the dimpling effect that is found in the clear coat of the paint after application in the factory. All cars display dimpling, even when new, and the level may vary depending on the car and the individual area of the bodywork.
No, it has no influence on the manufacturer warranty for your car’s paint. In actual fact, correct maintenance is an important part of caring for your vehicle’s paint during the warranty period and beyond.
We are independent and therefore choose our products based on strict tests and comparisons. We use a mixture of the leading products in the sector, and they each have their own individual purpose.
Once your car has been detailed as described, it is important that it is correctly maintained. Contact us to get our guidelines for simple washing techniques.
If dust and dirt are not removed from the vehicle correctly, these particles and contaminants (e.g. bird droppings, insect remains, tar etc.) will be rubbed into the paint surface by the incorrect cleaning process, which will result in visible damage.
In most car washes and public washing systems, sponges and brushes are used on numerous vehicles before they are used for your car.
Contaminants in these cleaning tools will scratch the paint.
The underbody and wheels are mostly cleaned with strong acidic cleaning agents. These often cause damage and oxidation of the brakes, the suspension, the exhaust and the wheels.
Traditional washing systems result in the familiar scratch marks on the car’s paint; even very modern washing systems that advertise “scratch-free washing”, often cause fine scratches on unprotected paint.
In polishing, an extremely thin layer of the clear coat, which covers the coloured paint, is removed. This is done mechanically.
In order to carry out successful polishing, the paint surface must first be washed and decontaminated in order to remove all environmental deposits.
The motto for this process is, “as little as possible, as much as necessary”.
We recommend that every new car should be brought to INCUTE to be checked over.
This is because most new vehicles sustain micro scratches or other damage during transport, shipping, storage or during the PDI (pre-delivery inspection) due to the removal of the wax and the protective film applied in the factory.
This is unfortunately almost unavoidable and is particularly annoying for the owner of a new vehicle.
INCUTE offers a service that not only restores the appearance of your vehicle, but actually gets every new car into an appropriate condition that will exceed your expectations.
After decontamination or polishing, the cleaned surface of your car will be smooth, but unprotected. Paint sealing is used as a protective layer between your car’s clear coat and environmental contaminations such as tree resin, rust film, tar, UV radiation and road salt.
